fun in the sun!

Today the temp was said to be 60 degrees - what a great day to have lunch and play at the park. Well, 60 degrees didn't happen while we were there, but we sure did enjoy the park all to ourselves and the wonderful sunshine. Dana and Hampton ("Hamps" as Evie now calls her) met up with us and we had a fun couple hours of swinging, sliding and running around. Looking forward to doing that again soon!

This week's weather is wonderful - Monday - Thursday in the 50's. So we had to get outside to enjoy the weather and Evie's new playhouse. It was given to us and we are so thrilled to have it. Thank you so much, Pam!

It's so hard to believe Evie is already 2 years old! Where in the world does the time go? We had such a fun party at home with close friends and family...As much as I would love to make Evie's parties non-chaotic, I think it's just not possible. It really was a fun evening - one I hope to never forget! Thanks so much for helping to make it a special day! Enjoy the pics!

Happy 2009

So, I'm a little slow at blogging these days, but hopefully I'll catch up soon. We rang in the New Year at The Smith's house just like we have the last 3 years. Trevor's parents came in town to celebrate with us and were so sweet to bring Evie home early so we could stay and ring in the new year with our friends. Meghan's parents were in town and we also celebrated with our new favorite neighbors Jeremy and Brooke. Looking forward to all of the blessings life will bring in 2009!

Christmas In the Lodge

FINALLY, I have the pics from our wonderful Christmas in Medicine Lodge. We spent lots of time visiting, eating, resting and playing with all of the kid's new toys. It was so nice to be able to spend a few days and not feel so rushed. Mary Lou, Mandi, Davis and I headed to Alva, Oklahoma, to catch some after Christmas sales. We even found some really great deals! Christmas 2008 was a great one - thanks to the Hinz family for making it so special.

So I have a few pics to share of our wonderful Christmas, I mean Christmas"es".  We traveled to Medicine Lodge and celebrated with Trevor's parents, sister and her family as well as Joon, from Korea.  We had a great time - it's so relaxing there and it's nice to catch up on much needed rest. Evie enjoyed playing with her cousins, Reese and Davis, and was much more interested in their presents than her own.  I will post pics of that trip once Trevor has time to download them off of his laptop.  So until then, I have some pics of last night's celebration with the Morris side of the family.  We had it at our house - it was sure fun to finally have a special event in our new home.
