Father's Day

this day couldn't be more special this year - especially with the addition of sweet baby max.  not only am i incredibly grateful for him - i am also incredibly grateful for the man i married and the wonderful dad he is.  WOW!  his kids love him completely - and there is nothing that makes my heart melt more than watching them together.

 oh, my goodness!  we have spent more time at the pool this summer than i can ever remember!  luckily, max is a little water bug and evie continues to be quite the little fish.  due to the terribly hot summer we've been having, going to the pool is really the only thing to do to pass the time with

and, the one day it thundered, we chose to play in the sprinklers!

5 months!

sweet little Max is continuing to grow and grow and grow!  his personality is beginning to surface and we are falling in love with him more and more each day (i didn't think that was possible!).  evie can make him smile like no one else can.  all she has to do is look at him and say, "hi, bubba", and he smiles from ear to ear.  this month he left the flat state of Kansas for the first time and we headed for the hills of Colorado.  he's not so much into traveling, so I got to spend much of the drive in the back seat between my two little loves. :)  max is enjoying all of the yummy baby foods - we have yet to find one he doesn't so much care for.  he continues to be a good eater AND a good sleeper (knock-on-wood).  here are some
