Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Last Monday, we headed north to take Joon to KU. He decided to transfer at semester and so it was almost like taking your own child to college for the first time. Well, kind of anyway. I don't think I'm quite ready to think about that...UGH! Anyway, we got him all moved in and took a quick spin around campus and through the student union. I've always been a jayhawk at heart, but since I'm married to a Wildcat, I have to bite my tongue every now and again. Good luck, Joon! We know you'll do great!

BRRR!

We had a weeks worth of frigid temps here in Wichita with only a little snow. But that didn't stop Evie from going outside to play. This was her first year to make a snow angel...just looking at the pic makes me laugh. She wasn't liking it too much, but stuck with it. You can kind of see the wings!

House Guests

We had two college boys stay with us for a week...Joon is from Korea and was Trevor's parent's foreign exchange student two years ago. He is still part of the family and we are so thrilled to be a part of his American family. Ryan is a dear family friend and has been in our lives since Trevor coached his baseball team 10 years ago. It just so happened they both needed a place to stay during Christmas break and we were thrilled to have them stay with us! They are such great guys and as you can tell Evie enjoyed every minute of their stay.

Ringing in 2010

Evie was so excited to go to a fancy party for New Year's Eve. For the past several years, we have walked down to the Smith's, our sweet neighbors and great friends, for a celebration. Meghan pulls out all the stops and we eat yummy appetizers and drink champagne into the wee hours of the night...well, this year we celebrated East Coast style, so we were home by 11:15. We had a great time playing charades (guys against girls). Evie even was entertained! Lots of laughs were had by all! We look forward to a great year and are so thankful for all of our blessings in 2009.
