Bestest Buddies

There is never a day in our house without Evie wearing her favorite blue "princess dress". And of course, Piggy needs to dress up a little, too. Piggy and Evie have a friendship that is so precious. I love watching Evie include Piggy in everything she does throughout the day. I will say it makes giving Piggy a bath very difficult since they are joined at the hip. I had to include pictures of the day Evie was giving Piggy a makeover before the tea party she prepared. And also pics of the afternoon at the "beach". What a great imagination!

"I POOPED!"

Needless to say (after that title), it was quite an exciting day at the Hinz house...Evie FINALLY went on the potty! She was so excited, but probably not nearly as excited as me! I can't even tell you how many times and ways I've tried to get her to give it a whirl - lots of bribery, special treats in the bathrooms, promises to go to her favorite place, Chuck E Cheese. Well, finally we (I mean she) did it! Unfortunately she wasn't too interested in going again - we tried the "big girl panties" and after the third clean-up, I decided we'd try again tomorrow.

Oh the joys!

"i'll tell you, mom"

"What's red mean, Mom?" This is what a hear every time we are in the car and near a stop light. My favorite is when she tells me, "Yellow means, swoe down". Now-a-days we can't near a stoplight without her telling me she'll let me know when it turns green or when she sees a green "arrowed". She is getting so big and it's so wonderful to witness her learning something new everyday.

things I never want to forget...

-when a bubble lands on the grass and doesn't pop you say,

"look mom, it's dancing!"

-how you always put your arms out to catch me

at the bottom of the stairs

-the way you rub piggy's ear under your nose

-hearing you say, "i yuve you, mommy"

-when you are excited about something you always say, "oh, boy!"

-hearing you tell me that Jesus lives in your heart

-how you tell me your name is spelled, "January 17th"

-rocking you before bed

-there is never a day without putting on the blue tutu

-your sweet kisses
