Oh, how the time flies

Evie has really grown up so much in the last month. She is talking so well, not to mention constantly! It's amazing how much little ones pick up on everything! I was looking through pictures today and just love seeing how much she's grown. I only wish I could freeze time every now and again to enjoy each and every moment to the fullest. Evie's life is such a huge blessing and I am filled with nothing but joy having her in mine!

weekend in Arkansas

We had a great time being with my brother, Rich, sister-in-law, Renee and sweet baby Sallie at their home in Fayetteville. We always have so much fun together and were sad when the weekend came to an end. Evie especially loved being the "big" girl in the group this time and enjoyed showing Sallie how to do lots of things. The last morning we were there, I taught Renee how to make little pants for Sallie. She is modeling them in the last pic. Way to go, Renee! I'm so proud of you! Thanks again for the fun weekend.

Easter at PaPa and Doodle's

We celebrated this Easter with Trevor's parents in Medicine Lodge along with their previous foreign exchange student, Joon. It was a nice relaxing weekend full of Easter egg decorating (Evie's 1st time, but Doodle and I were left doing it all!), eating lots of yummy food, visiting, church and of course hunting for eggs. It's so fun to have a little one that gets excited to find eggs! I'm sure next year will be even more exciting!

friday bowling

We met the Shanks family (minus Austin) at Back Alley for some pizza and bowling on Friday night. Evie had so much fun watching the ball roll slowly down the lane and would clap when it disappeared at the end even if it didn't knock down any pins. My favorite part was seeing her in the cute little shoes (that were still 2 sizes too big). Coleman took first place! We look forward to going again soon! "Bowling" is one of Evie's new favorite words!

big day for "Baby D"

Galatians 3:27, "we 'put on Christ' when we are baptized".

A few weeks ago, we headed to Kansas City to witness the baptism of our nephew, Davis. He did such a great job and only cried a few tears. It is such an awesome thing to be there to watch as someone you love so much becomes a member of the family of God and is promised to be looked after, prayed for and mentored by the congregation...and this one was big (a few thousand). We look forward to watching Davis be a follower of Christ - he is such a blessing to us!

papa and doodle's

On Friday night, Evie's grandparents, came to town and we all went out to dinner. Trevor's mom offered to take Evie home with them for the weekend. At first I was a little hesitant only because the last time I was without Evie was last November. As much as I needed a little break, it was a little difficult imagining what I would do without her. Well, I ended up packing her bag and told them that if she was crying by the time they were to the west side of town, to call and we would come and get her. But as I strapped her into her carseat and kissed her goodbye, I was the one that was crying! Anyway, she had a wonderful time! She spent time out at the ranch looking at the cows and baby calves and even got to help PaPa drive the pick-up! On Sunday, she and Doodle waved a palm branch (aka: "big tree" by Evie) in church. Doodle sent the pics to me, so I will share them with you! Thanks again, Doodle and PaPa for the nice break and for taking such good care of Evie! She loves you so much and so do we!
