Trevor had a business trip scheduled to Orlando over Valentine's weekend, so we thought we could make a little mini vacation out of it and go a few days early. Evie stayed behind with her Doodle and PaPa and Me-Maw and PaPa Woo-Woo. I am sure she had a little vacation of her own and was spoiled beyond belief. Well, I have to say the trip to Orlando (the place where dreams comes true) was not the case for me. My luggage didn't quite make the trip. At first I knew it wouldn't take long and would turn up, but now that we're back home and it's been missing for a total of 8 days, I'm thinking it is lost forever. Nothing like actually using the little clothesline in the hotel shower and washing your clothes in the sink. I never thought of myself as high maintenance, but now I kind of do. Talk about simplifying! Anyway, Trevor and I went to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom on Valentine's day. He had never been there, and I have vivid memories of the magical place that it is. I have to say as an adult without having Evie with us to live the magic through, it was kind of disappointing. But we made the best of it and stood in line like the rest - waiting 75 minutes for a 3 minute ride. At least we have it figured out for when we take Evie in the next couple years - Fast Pass is the way to go! Dana and Garry were also in Orlando for the same conference, so Dana and I spent much time shopping, eating and of course getting a little pampering done. I am really glad to be home and have definitely learned a hard lesson as far was what to put in checked baggage.

our first snowman
This past Friday we received close to 6 inches of snow - unfortunately it wasn't the sticky kind, but we were bound and determined to build a snowman for our neighbors...Quincy and Clara - both born this past year. I still remember the snowman Hope and Meghan built for Evie the year she was born...so special! It sure was fun to be the builders this year! I have to say, it looked more like a snow "mound" instead of a snow "man", but it was cute! Afterwards, we treated ourselves to some yummy hot chocolate and stayed inside the rest of the day.
